Another one of the gorgeous girls from my mom’s breeding program, Prada has a fun, playful and bubbly personality, but is gentle and docile, too. She really wants to please, and lacks the stubborn streak seen in some Bernese.
Prada is one of my bigger girls—so big that I jokingly call her “my little pony.” She has the classic Berner lean, and when she does it, believe me, you feel it! If she puts all her weight on me, I will literally fall over. This girl loves being petted so much that she will close her eyes and grunt in satisfaction. I’m glad she’s extremely gentle, smart, cooperative and easily trained. Otherwise, with her size, she could be hard to control. Prada is great with all my other dogs and likes playing in the yard, and taking a dip in the pond on a hot day.
Prada’s parents are Nellar and Dominique. We imported Dominique from a fabulous kennel in France, after waiting a year for a dog from these outstanding lines. He is registered with the FCI in France and the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). His father is a French champion, and there are many other champions in his background. Nellar is a strong-boned female with excellent conformation and an outgoing personality. My mom also owned Nellar’s parents, Daiko and Veruschka, who were imported from Europe as well. You can learn more on moorsbernese.com. I know these lines inside and out and have researched Prada’s lines seven generations back. Not only does she have a strong pedigree of healthy ancestors, I know for a fact that the temperaments grandparents and parents are outstanding.
